White Texas Christmas

A snow in Texas is rare, but this year we got a White Christmas!  Since I don't have snow boots, I wore my Valentino rain boots.  I had such a fun time with Emilie, Grant, and my cousins Christine, Brian, and David & Ben.

Fabulous in Chicago

What could be more fun than seeing Kinky Boots with my cousin?  David invited me to visit him and his husband, Ben, in Chicago last weekend.  We saw the fabulously fun musical Kinky Boots and shopped til we dropped.  I had so much fun!  Thank you for such a fabulous weekend, David and Ben!
In front of the legendary Marshall Field department store... now Macy's.
The new five-story Burberry store!  It was so shiny in person.
At the drag queen store, Beatnix!  I tried on this jacket while David held all my winter coats.  I'm not used to the cold Chicago air!

Congrats, David and Ben!

Me with the grooms!  Ben is on the left and my cousin David is on the right.
A few weeks ago, I went to Chicago to be my cousin David's groomsmaid.  I just had to post some of the pics (see them all on Facebook) because we all looked fabulous and had a great time!  Love you, DayDay and BenBen!

Project Emilie: Chicago Extravaganza

Emilie recently said, "everyone knows about my modeling career."  As a Project Emilie fan, I think you'll be happy to know that her modeling career was taken to the next level in a new city: Chicago.  My cousin (Emilie's nephew), David, got married, and we were excited to celebrate his wedding in style!

Emilie and I want to teach you stylistas how to steal our style, so shop our photoshoot with the pink links below the pics.

We walked around and "detoured" the city
Tip: When traveling, I like to use a pink crossbody purse and Em prefers a Vera Bradley backpack

Emilie was inspired by my Hanes Better Than Bare post, so she decided to wear Hanes Hosiery to the wedding!  We almost look like twins with our blue dresses and silver shoes.

After the reception, Emilie wanted to take the elevator.  I told her our fashion blog readers would be more impressed if she took the stairs like she does at Larry North Fitness, and she agreed, "you're right."
Em was sick of the paparazzi by the time we got in the taxi

Out and About in Chicago

Between groomsmaid duties and getting my false lashes put on for David and Ben's wedding, I had a little time to do what I do best.  I couldn't go to Chicago and not walk the Magnificent Mile!  Chicago is a serious stylista city.  I did some damage at H&M, Zara, Topshop, and the gigantic Ulta!  And I drooled over the shoes at Stuart Weitzman and Chanel.
