Polo Chic Style: Fashion Stars for a Cause Finale 2014

Prestonwood Polo Club and Beverly Drive Magazine hosted a polo cup in celebration of the Fashion Stars for a Cause event benefiting Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas.  Five of the 12 Fashion Stars were in attendance for the afternoon affair: Regina Bruce, Britt Harless, Rhonda Marcus, Toni Munoz-Hunt, and myself. 

Yvonne Crum, congratulations on a successful first year of Fashion Stars for a Cause!  That's a wrap!

New J Brand Houndstooth Jeans

My latest obsession is my new J Brand houndstooth skinny jeans!  So chic, so unique, so J Brand!  I can't wait to wear these with cute wedges (like these) and feminine blouses (like this one) this summer!  Plus, they're super-flattering.  By the way, I've been shopping a lot lately.  Eh, I'm a working girl, I can afford to have a little fun with my earnings!  Get these jeans here from Shopbop, they're on sale!

Frenemies

Competition gets between many of us, even good friends.  My friend of 12 years Jessica Long is an aspiring actress, ballerina, and soon-to-be model.  I'm a serious stylista and aspiring fashion buyer.  Who wouldn't be threatened?  We each have different styles, so it was fun to style the latest trends for summer in our own ways.

Shorts-Tastic!

I'm loving shorts for spring and summer.  Solids are my favorite right now because they're also big in Europe.  But I also love my prints as well.  Shorts are the versatile piece for summer: dress them up or down, you'll be stylin' no matter what.  Once I get my tan, wearing shorts will be even better!

Chanel: It's Fabulous, Dahling

I don't think there's a designer I love more than Chanel.  A friend of my friend's mom gave me this vintage Chanel jacket.  It's ultra-boxy and kinda 80's, but it looks chic and youthful when put with shorts.  Since blazers are so "in" this spring, I'm excited to wear it this season!

Lately I've been obsessed with whimsical, girly polka dots.  I got this dress in Paris for a steal.  It works great for every season, just add tights or leggings when it's chilly outside!

Cheap and Chic: Leopard Pants from Target

It's the biggest bargain fashion phenomenon since Missoni.  I spotted these leopard print pants at Target for under $25!  I think I really hit the bullseye with this fierce fashion find.

These leopard jeans are surprisingly versatile.  They look just as fabulous at work as they do for a shopping day.  I styled 5 looks with these pants, all equally fierce.  There are several $200 designer jeans out there that look almost identical to these!  But you better hurry, because they're sold out online and have low stock in stores.  Once again, Target style didn't disappoint.

I was dying to see the new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in Dallas, the perfect place for a photoshoot!
