Frenemies

Competition gets between many of us, even good friends.  My friend of 12 years Jessica Long is an aspiring actress, ballerina, and soon-to-be model.  I'm a serious stylista and aspiring fashion buyer.  Who wouldn't be threatened?  We each have different styles, so it was fun to style the latest trends for summer in our own ways.

Steal Her Style: Met Gala 2012

One of the biggest fashion events of the year, the Met Gala, happened last week.  Editor of Vogue (and rule of the fashion industry) Anna Wintour decides who's in and who's out.  Only the biggest stars are invited.  I read that Anna even banned Kim Kardashian from coming to the event (drama!).  The red carpet at the Met Gala is glamorous and over-the-top, so I always love to see the outfits!  Steal the best dressed styles!

Shorts-Tastic!

I'm loving shorts for spring and summer.  Solids are my favorite right now because they're also big in Europe.  But I also love my prints as well.  Shorts are the versatile piece for summer: dress them up or down, you'll be stylin' no matter what.  Once I get my tan, wearing shorts will be even better!

Brag About My Bro

I just need to brag about my official photographer / stylista / baby bro.  He was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society at Christ the King School (following in my footsteps). Didn't he look SO cute in his fancy outfit?  A genius, AND a stylista.  He was so excited to wear his tie and cufflinks (he's a fancy little guy).  You may not be able to steal his brains, but you can steal his style!  Love him!

Chanel: It's Fabulous, Dahling

I don't think there's a designer I love more than Chanel.  A friend of my friend's mom gave me this vintage Chanel jacket.  It's ultra-boxy and kinda 80's, but it looks chic and youthful when put with shorts.  Since blazers are so "in" this spring, I'm excited to wear it this season!

Fierce Sam Edelman Heels from Nordstrom!

I got the fiercest Sam Edelman shoes at Nordstrom yesterday!  Spring is all about fun, tall shoes.  I'm obsessed with the bold heel, strappy-ness, and the gold color!  At $130, they're a steal because they look a lot more expensive.  And the best part is that they're comfortable and stable for a 5-inch heel!
