Aftershock London Brings British Style to Galleria Dallas

The Brits switched up its Aftershock London store location when the boutique was reintroduced at the Galleria Dallas earlier this year.  The British boutique has been successful in Dallas for almost two years, which is the only city in the United States to get the Aftershock London experience with a physical store location.  Imran Sheikh, managing partner for the US division, expressed his excitement for the new Aftershock London store at the Galleria.  Bringing the British-based retailer to a shopping center of 200 retailers and a lot of foot traffic is expected to increase its accessibility and visibility in Dallas.  Aftershock London was first introduced to Dallas when its grand opening in 2013 at the Plaza at Preston Center.

Stylist Dawn Mellon and The Fashionistas organization hosted the grand opening party with plenty of shopping and fun.  The display windows were occupied by live model-mannequins showing off some of Aftershock's most glam looks.  Partygoers enjoyed shopping, mingling and cocktails.  For unique eveningwear and accessible daytime glam, go to Aftershock London.

PS - Dawn is one of the 12 women chosen to participate in Fashion Stars for a Cause this year.  She is raising money to benefit the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas.  If you're interested in purchasing a ticket to the event on March 20 or raffle tickets to win a royal dinner and a Belk gift card, please contact her!

Front Door Fashion: Style in a Box

There's a new styling service in town unlike anything you've seen before.  You'll be surprised to find out that don't even have to leave your home to get styled by a top stylist.  It's called Front Door Fashion (FDF), and it's really easy and fun to get unique, personalized fashions for a wardrobe refresher.

Create a style profile so the stylists can tailor the outfits to your lifestyle and likes.  FDF allows you to try on a personalized, fully accessorized wardrobe of 4-6 looks in the comfort of your own home.  You then have 5 days to keep what you love and return what you don't want.  Shipping is completely free both ways and there is no fee to have a box sent to you.  Just pay for the items you keep!

Only the best of the best are chosen as stylists for Front Door Fashion.  Dallasite, fashion designer, and Project Runway star Shirin Askari styled my Front Door Fashion wardrobe!  The experience was a lot of fun and the clothes were stunning.  What I loved most about the experience is that the pieces Shirin chose for me fit my style, but they were also things that I wouldn't have picked out myself.  And she gave me suggestions and notes for how to style each outfit.  That's what's so fun about being styled by an expert.  I wish I could afford to keep it all, but I purchased a few key pieces that will be versatile for fall.

Get started with Front Door Fashion by filling out your profile and requesting a box.  You'll be so happy when your FDF box arrives at your doorstep.  Your style has arrived, stylistas!
These dark James Jeans were to die for!  The Rory Beca cape is super-chic.  The pop of cobalt is this silky Lavender Brown shirt.  The snakeskin belt by Elise M is so versatile and can be paired with a lot of outfits.
This wishbone necklace by Sonya Renee is so cute and classy.
This flesh-colored tank from Tees by Tina is so handy.
The crochet lace tank popped in a pretty coral color.  The turquoise necklace looked cool with this outfit.
Loved this Southern Belle necklace by Diana Warner!
These Loren Hope pearl drop earrings are so me!
One of the pieces I kept was this sheer embroidered top.  It's beautiful!  Shirin suggested I pair the colorful bib necklace with this soft, feminine look.
The slim bootcut Citizens of Humanity jeans are a fall staple.
This scarf is going to go with everything this fall!  And the Rory Beca blouse was stunning.
Love love love this red ring with the lacy skirt!
I could totally see myself going to a business meeting in this... or to school!  The BB Dakota Blazer is so professional, so the fun colored Velvet Heart top is a pop!  The skirt is so chic (and cheap!).
