Project Emilie: Chicago Extravaganza

Emilie recently said, "everyone knows about my modeling career."  As a Project Emilie fan, I think you'll be happy to know that her modeling career was taken to the next level in a new city: Chicago.  My cousin (Emilie's nephew), David, got married, and we were excited to celebrate his wedding in style!

Emilie and I want to teach you stylistas how to steal our style, so shop our photoshoot with the pink links below the pics.

If you ever need someone to help you write a speech, ask Emilie.  She wanted to raise her glass of Diet Coke to congratulate the "husbands to be."  Genius - I wish I would have thought of that myself!
Em and I posed with my mom and my cousin, Brian

We walked around and "detoured" the city
Tip: When traveling, I like to use a pink crossbody purse and Em prefers a Vera Bradley backpack
Get My City Chic Look:
Kenneth Cole ruffled blouse (similar here); H&M paisley shorts (similar here); Adrienne Vittadini flower sandals (similar here)
Get Emilie's City Chic Look:
yellow top; cardigan; royal blue pants
Emilie was inspired by my Hanes Better Than Bare post, so she decided to wear Hanes Hosiery to the wedding!  We almost look like twins with our blue dresses and silver shoes.
Tip: The right accessories and shoes can turn a simple dress into a stunner

After the reception, Emilie wanted to take the elevator.  I told her our fashion blog readers would be more impressed if she took the stairs like she does at Larry North Fitness, and she agreed, "you're right."
Em was sick of the paparazzi by the time we got in the taxi

  2. Both of you look outstanding. I loved all of your dresses. Made me so inspired for my friend’s 25th birthday party. She will be hosting a fabulous Oscar inspired party at one of the best Chicago venues. Hey if you have some easy hairstyle ideas, please share that too.
