Equest Premier Celebration Kick-Off: Humans Horses Hope

Equest's Premier Celebration Kick-Off event was held at the beautiful home of Coley and Jennifer Clark.  Equest is a non-profit group that unites humans and horses to provide therapeutic riding services for people with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities.  Toasting this amazing cause, the new Texas Horse Park facility, and equestrian fashions by Kingsland made the night super fun.

Before this event, I had never heard of Equest, and I don't know much about horses.  Luckily my horse-expert friend Elizabeth West accompanied me to the kick-off event.  She's participated in programs that provide horse therapy to humans in need, so she was familiar with Equest.  100% of Equest riders report physical, cognitive, social and emotional improvements with treatment.  Plus, 21% of riders have been able to reduce or eliminate daily medications.  If all of the horses are as sweet as the Equest Mini Ambassadors, two adorable mini horses that greeted guests at the event, I can see how Equest treatments can make such a positive impact.
